Our approach / The design journal
Less excess.
More intention.
An everyday object, looked at a little more closely. Our approach begins with the material, considers the form, and comes back to the way you use it.
Open the study
01 / Material
Start with the wood.
Grain, tone and individual markings are part of what makes wood worth living with. We want the material’s character to remain visible, rather than disappear behind unnecessary detail.
Every piece of natural wood has its own variation. Look at the actual product photographs and material details before you choose.
01 — Let the material speak.
02 / Form
Give every detail a reason.
A useful silhouette. Space for the ingredients. A shape that feels comfortable at the counter. Our design approach considers how a board fits into everyday life, from preparing a meal to putting it away.
A handle, a groove or a larger surface serves a different purpose. Compare the dimensions and features of the individual board with your needs.
02 — Purpose before excess.
03 / Ritual
Bring it back to the everyday.
Good design should feel at home in the moments you repeat. The first slice, a little preparation, a meal shared. Beauty matters most when it works with the way you live.
Hand wash gently, dry thoroughly and follow the care instructions supplied with your board. A little attention becomes part of the ritual.
03 — Made to be reached for.
The final consideration
Choose what earns its place.
The best board for you is the one that suits your counter, your meals and your daily rhythm. Compare the photographs, measurements and care details before choosing.
